YANGON DIVISION- Mr. Joe, who is in charge of the Yangon UG People’s Army (YUPA), said that two hand grenades were thrown at the Seinpanmyaing traffic control booth in North Okkalapa Township, last Thursday (September 5).
“These guys (traffic police) are junta pillars and are unjustly sucking blood (ransacking) from the people,” he talked about why they made the attack.
On September 5 at around 8:30 p.m., the traffic booth was jointly attacked by the North Oakkalar Township Public Defense Force (2) and YUPA, the official stated.
“There may be causalities,” said Mr. Joe of YUPA.
After the attack, smoke came out from the traffic booth and sounds of shouting and swearing were heard, he added.
“What I want to tell the people is that we (UG forces) will be standing for the people. I request the people not to ignore us but support (not only us but) all the UG forces,” Mr. Joe stated.
