SHAN STATE – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced on Saturday (September 7) that the restoration works in Lashio have been successful and electricity has been restored in certain parts of the city.
MNDAA said that the postwar restoration works in Lashio by Lashio Area Military Administration Committee and related organisations are being carried out in various sectors with good results.
Moreover, medical and healthcare services and communication networks gradually improved, and on September 6 evening, after related departments had been conducting repair works on the generators and substations damaged in the war for over a month, electricity was restored in several parts of the city.
Officials told the media that a large number of electricity cables were damaged during the war, and as repair works are still ongoing, they first distributed electricity to emergency points and some factories.
