MANDALAY DIVISION – Locals welcomed the return journey of Thabeikkyin PDF (People Defense Force) comrades with Eugenia flowers.
Today, on September 7th, many people welcomed the comrades of Thabeikkyin township’s People Defense Force Defense, the National Unity Government, Ministry of Defense, toured around their home villages as part of their return journey.
” I’m so happy by the welcoming of the people. We were born and grew up in the Thabeikkyin township. All the township residents who drank this water and breathed this air are looking up to us. The villages that are completely free from the junta council, then they are happy and waiting for this time. For that, I sincerely thank the people,” said Ko Nagani, the person in charge of the People’s Defense Body in Thabeikkyin township.
Joint Revolutionary Forces have been offensively attacking the junta council’s camps in Thabeikkyin township since July and captured Thabeikkyin on August 25th.
In addition, they have occupied at least 11 junta council camps in Thabeikkyin township, including the 148th Infantry Battalion.
