SHAN STATE – The atrocious junta reportedly carried out aerial bombings over Lashio City, occupied by Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), on the early morning of September 8, damaging buildings and cars, but no casualty, according to an official of Lashio based Freedom Youth Volunteer – FYV.
On September 8, at 4:07 a.m., the junta’s fighter jets bombarded over Union Stadium in No (12) Ward of Lashio City. No one was hurt by the bombing, but parked cars and buildings were damaged.
“The bombs landed into the Union Stadium in No (12) Ward of Lashio City, at 4:07 a.m., on September 8. Noone was hurt. Two MMDAA soldiers on guard were also safe. The terrible thing is that the atrocious junta army bombarded, when the people were in deep sleep at night time,” explained an official of Lashio based FYV.
The people of Lashio also said that there was a huge explosion, at 4:07 a.m., on September 8, in Lashio City, and even the houses were shaken.
Similarly, on August 30, at 8:45 p.m., and 8:50 p.m., the terrorist junta bombarded over No (8) Basic High School in No (9) Ward of Lashio City, damaging school buildings and a residential house.
The terrorist junta council had carried out “Yan Naing Min Operations” to recapture the lost territories, including Karenni and Lashio in Shan (North) State, since September 1. As part of the operations, the genocidal junta accelerated aerial bombings and airstrike attacks. On September 6, the junta launched aerial bombings over Karenni and Namhkam Town, killing 20 civilians, including seven children.
