SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta council has set fire to ten villages over six days in Khin U Township and more than 10,000 civilians had to flee as a result, reported Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U based People’s Defence Comrade.
The junta column that came to reinforce Madaunghla Village on September 2 has been setting fire to nearby villages for consecutive days.
So far, that terrorist junta column has torched Ngakyaing Village on September 2, Ingyinpin Village, Sawgyi Village, Thanatsein Village and Phankharkone Village on September 3, Pauktaw Village and Nhetwin Village on September 4, Siesomelay Village on September 5 and Madaunggyi Village and Shweka Village on September 7.
Due to the continued offensives by that column targeting the villages near Madaunghla Village, the residents of nearby villages have been forced to flee and over 10,000 people are said to have been displaced currently.
“That column of junta dogs (junta forces) arrived at Madaunghla Village on the 6th but they came out to the west of Madaunghla Village yesterday (September 7) and torched Madaunggyi Village and Shweka Village. The damages could be considerable but we don’t know the exact details yet. The people are still displaced and the number of displaced people is increasing by day. No one from the neighbouring villages of Madaunghla Village of Pyu Saw Htee militants have been able to return to their homes. It is said that the number of displaced people have risen over 10,000. They are facing difficulties starting with meals,” said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar).
