MAGWAY DIVISION – Locals reported that over 1,300 civilians are displaced in Magway Division due to junta airstrikes.
Due to the terrorist junta air force targeting and bombing Kyau Region in Magway Division, over 1,300 civilians from the villages of Laldama, Ywange, Shwepin, Paemasar, Zanmhway, Sakhar, Kywelkine, Phonesoekyel and Kantthat have fled to Pale Township in Sagaing Division since the end of August.
“There are around 1,300 displaced people and the local PAB (People’s Administration Body) and PDF (People’s Defence Force) have formed a displaced people assistance committee, collected the list and are taking care of them at each Village,” said a local resident.
The Pale Township Humanitarian in charge of the National Unity Government is also reported to have met the displaced people and provided them 82 lakhs from the NUG Ministry and donors while Pale Township People’s Strike Steering Committee similarly provided 2 lakhs Kyats.
