MAGWAY DIVISION – Mindon Township People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) representative Mr. Ba Hein reported that the terrorist junta council bombed the school in Ywathit Village, Mindon Township from the air.
A junta jet fighter is reported to have bombed the school around 8:15 p.m. on September 9.
Although no civilian casualties were reported, it is said that the school building and several houses near the school were damaged.
In addition, the terrorist junta soldiers launching offensives on the ground were also reported to have arrived at Khontaikyin Village at the same time as the airstrike, abducted over 40 civilians as human shields and are stationed at the center of the village.
“Only around three people were abducted at first. They (junta forces) threatened them to bring the others who fled, threatening to burn the houses and to kill anyone who didn’t return on sight. Then they placed those abducted people around them while they stationed in the center of the village. The junta dogs (junta forces) also killed and made meals out of the poultry and livestock raised by the villagers. The air strike did not result in civilian casualties but there were damages to buildings,” said Mr. Ba Hein.
