MAGWAY DIVISION – An official from Kamma Coalition reported that they cleared out the junta camp at Nyaunghla fork on the Pakokku-Kamma Road as all junta council troops from that camp abandoned it and ran away.
The revolutionary forces reportedly set the junta camp on fire and cleared out the area after the junta forces that were stationed there and extorting the travelling civilians deserted the camp at around 2 a.m. on September 9.
“That camp was located to the east of Kamma, on the Pakokku-Kamma Road, an outpost surrounding the main base. There were only around 10 or 15 (junta forces). They retreated at around 2 or 3 a.m. this morning (September 9). They don’t really stay there permanently. As their numbers are small, they normally travel between that camp and the Pyu Saw Htee base at Nyaunggyitpin Village which is located around 1,500 metres to its west. We didn’t confiscate any items but we did destroy the bunkers,” said the official from Kamma Coalition.
The clearing out of the junta camp was done by Myaing PDO, Ayeyar Daung Team and KMRF. They destroyed the junta bunkers and set fire to the tents of the junta soldiers.
The junta camp at Nyaunghla fork was first stationed by junta forces in March, 2024 at the same time as the outposts at Kantaw and Hpalanoh. The junta forces there have now retreated to the Pyu Saw Htee base at Nyaunggyitpin Village to prepare defenses.
