SAGAING DIVISION – Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U based People’s Defence Comrade, reported that the terrorist junta council has repeatedly torched Kanbyar Village located near the town of Tabayin and the residents are still displaced.
It is said that the terrorist junta soldiers stationed in Tabayin raided the village and set fire to the houses on September 9 afternoon.
Kanbyar Village has been raided and torched by junta forces repeatedly since August 18 and its residents have been displaced since.
“They (junta forces) are torching Kanbyar Village again. There’s almost no house left standing in the village as of this afternoon (September 9). Starting around August 18 or 19, they have been torching the houses in Tabayin as well as Kanbyar Village, located east of the town, whenever they feel like it. Kanbyar Village is close to town so there are checkpoints stationed by junta dogs (junta forces). The people have been displaced for months, no one dares return to the village,” explained Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar).
