RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) announced on September 9 night that the junta council bombed the site in Shinywa Village, Pauktaw Township where junta prisoners of war and detainees were receiving medical treatments, killing a total of 17 and injuring 10, including several junta officers and informants.
A terrorist junta fighter jet is reported to have bombed Shinywa Village twice on September 8, at 6:50 p.m. and 6:55 p.m.
The 17 people killed by the junta aerial bombing include several junta officers who require treatment for poor health, junta informants, those detained and under investigation for reporting the activities of AA to the junta council, prisoners, officials in charge of the prison, AA healthcare staff and civilians including children.
Similarly on September 6, junta police battalion 12 in Sittwe and Point navy station fired heavy weapons into Pauktaw, destroying several houses belonging to innocent civilians. AA stated that there have been reports of civilians getting massacred daily as the junta air force targets and bombs the schools, hospitals, clinics, religious buildings and markets in towns and cities controlled by revolutionary forces.
The terrorist junta council launched Yan Naing Min Operation to recapture lost territories on September 1, beginning with offensives using the air force and the army.
