KARENNI STATE – The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) announced that 18 medic trainees died after getting swept into the currents in Karenni State.
On September 11 evening, during an exercise mission, the trainees under the medic training conducted by the medic department of KNDF tried to cross a stream and 18 trainees were swept away by the current due to an accident.
KNDF informed that the training was conducted with the intention to fulfill the requirements of the KNDF and the coalition, to improve the human resources of Karenni State and to increase the number of medics, and expressed its condolences to the family members and battalions of the 18 trainees whose lives were lost in this accident, adding that the KNDF headquarters will conduct necessary investigations regarding the accident and report back to the related battalions, teams and the public.
KNDF stated that it, along with the coalition, will continue to work with accountability to ensure as little error as possible for the goals of the revolution and the needed human resources.
