MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG) held an Emergency Operation Coordination Committee (EOCC) meeting on September 14 morning 10 a.m. to discuss the response programs to Typhoon Yagi.
At the meeting, the current works and future procedures of related departments in response to the current flood, knowledge sharing and warning on potential hazards and rescue programs to ensure minimal damage were discussed.
In addition, the meeting agenda also included how to reconcile the family members separated by the natural disaster, what needs to be prepared for rehabilitation works post disaster and how to effectively receive international assistance to carry out those procedures.
It was also discussed to continue with the necessary follow-up procedures without delay and to support and assist the people affected by natural and man-made disasters as much as possible.
