MANDALAY DIVISION – No. (1) military region said that 20 soldiers of the junta council were killed and 21 weapons were seized when they intercepted and attacked the terrorist army column led by Major San Yu, which was retreating from Tigyaing township.
The revolutionary forces attacked the terrorist army column with 58 terrorist soldiers from Number 13 Army Higher Training School, led by Major San Yu, retreating from Mya Taung Ketka intersection was intercepted on September 17th between Nan Sein Mountain and Nan Sein Creek of Twinnge prefecture, Thabeikkyin township.
During this attack, 20 terrorist soldiers from the terrorist army were killed and 5 were injured. 1 MA 15 machine gun, (2) 60mm MA-9 mortars, (6) MA-1, (5) MA-3, (4) MA-11, (3) G-3 rifles, (2126) rounds of various bullets, (6) Inaga Grenades, (2) grenades, (5) 40 mm shells, a 60 mm mortar shell, (4) RPGs and (71) numbers of ammunition casings were seized.
It was reported that the attack was carried out by the forces under the command of Mandalay Division PDF Office including Special Operations Battalion-3, No. (511) Battalion, Mandalay District Battalion (3rd, 4th, 5th), Mandalay Division Drone Force, ABSDF, the Pyin Oo Lwin District Commando Unit and the People Defense Forces Joint Team of Thabeikkyin township. One revolutionary comrade has fell in honor.
