YANGON DIVISION: It was known that a public strike had been organised on the road in Yangon with the slogans to drop the commodity prices and to oppose against the conscription law, aiming to eradicate military dictatorship which is the root cause of all the problems on September 19.
The public strike was cooperatively organised by Youths Strike Committee, Shwe Pyi Thar Strike Committee and Anti- Junta Alliance Yangon (AJAY). As soon as the guerrilla strike started, the civilians on the sides of the road were also known to have joined.
