MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council has moved the prisoners including political prisoners from Insein Prison and Monywa Prison without informing their families, reported Mr. Thaik Tun Oo from Political Prisoners Network Myanmar (PPNM).
Prisoners from Insein Prisoner were moved to Tharyarwaddy Prison in five cars on September 22 while the prisoners from Monywa Prison were moved in motorboats on September 21 under heavy guard.
“Political prisoners were moved via the water under heavy guard of the junta council. They were moved without informing their families so we are concerned about their safety,” said Mr. Thaik Tun Oo.
The prisoners from Monywa Prison were reportedly transported in junta warships and motorboats that were moving along the Chindwin River on September 21.
