SAGAING DIVISION – It is reported that the Red Phoenix Force, based in Kani Township, Yinmarbin District, Sagaing Division, is producing mines and heavy weapons and is also supporting other allied forces.
It has been more than 3 years since the establishment of the Red Phoenix Force and they have produced mines that are locally called column mines, handmade guns, 60mm and 120mm, and currently they are mainly producing mines.
When the Red Phoenix Force is unable to participate in the battles, it helps support the allied forces with mines and heavy weapons, said Comrade Tha Khin Nyo, who is in charge of production.
He added that although the 2nd Battalion of Yinmarbin District supplies the materials needed for production, there are difficulties in not being able to buy raw materials.
The Red Phonix Force is currently testing a type of explosive mine capable of destroying the junta council’s bunkers.
