SAGAING DIVISION – People’s Defence Force (PDF) – South Monywa announced on September 28 that they attacked a unit of around 30 terrorist junta soldiers from Natyaykan checkpoint in Chaung U Township, Monywa District that came towards Yaypoesar to clear mines by detonating four prepared mines, around 9:40 a.m. on September 27.
The attack is said to have injured four junta soldiers and the junta forces reportedly responded by opening fire wildly but the PDF forces were able to return unharmed.
The attack was carried out by PDF – South Monywa, Monywa District Battalion 11 under the Ministry of Defence, National Unity Government, together with Nway Oo Lu Nge PDF, Tawthargyi PDF, Myinmu Local Defence Force, Pentagram and Myanmar Islam Special Commando Team.
It was also mentioned that the terrorist junta soldiers bullying and extorting the civilian passersby in front of Thanlwin Myanmar gas station between Chaung U and Ngarshin were attacked on September 19.
