MYANMAR – Six new FTC 2000 G aircraft purchased from China by the Terrorist War Council have recently arrived in Myanmar, and the said new fighter jets are being used in most of the country’s airstrikes, according to Air Force sources.
In August, 6 new Chinese-made FTC 2000 G aircraft arrived in Myanmar, 3 allocated in the Namhsan Air Force and 3 were allocated in the Meiktila Air Force. Lt. Colonel Win han Oo has appointed as flight commander and he is commanding from Namhsan Air Base. Major Zay Yar Htun is commanding the 3 FTC 2000 G aircraft in Meiktila Air Base. Air strikes in the whole country are being carried out by the new FTC 2000 G fighters.
“Win Han Oo (Lt. Colonel) came from Chinese F 7 fighter group. Now he is commander of the FTC 2000 G fighters. He station in Namhsan. New 6 fighters are allocated 3 in Namhsan and 3 in Meiktila. Major Zay Yar Htun from batch number 46 of DSA, who attained Medal of Thura, cammand the 3 FTC 2000 G in Meiktila. He is under the Win Han Oo” said that news source from air force.
The 6 FTC 2000 G fighters arrived in 2022 were used in air strikes for many times. One of the fighters was shot down by KIA near the Nant Hpetka village in Kutkai township in January 16th, so only 5 are left. Now another 6 new fighters have arrived and totally 11 are in service.
The news source of air force said that “Formerly 5 FTC 2000 G were left because one of the 6 fighters was shot down in Nant Hpetka. Now 6 new were arrived. So, there are 11 in total. Most of the attacks in Myingyan, Taungtha, Madaya and Lashio were commanded by Win Han Oo from Namhsan. He smuggle fuels a lot. He commanded all, because if there are more flying hours, he can smuggle more fuel.”
