KACHIN STATE – The KIA military news source reported that the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) attacked and captured a main base of the junta council alongside two outposts near Shangaw Village in Waingmaw Township.
KIA and KPDF joint forces are said to have completely captured the junta base and outposts on the Chiphwe Road section on September around 10 a.m.
“KIA and KPDF successfully completed the capture of a primary base and two outposts of the terrorist junta council near Shangaw Village on the Chiphwe Road section in Waingmaw Township this morning (September 30),” confirmed the KIA military news source.
Currently, the revolutionary forces are conducting clearance in the area and investigating the confiscated ammunition. It is also said that there were junta casualties as well as captured POWs.
