TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from Wayhin Team, Dawna Column Company 6, reported that Tin Myint, the administration officer for Gangawtaung Village in Yebyu Township who oppressed and extorted civilians was killed in an attack.
Tin Myint reportedly died after being attacked by members of Dawna Column Company 6 and 7 around 7:20 p.m. on September 29.
He had served as a guide for junta forces, reported to the junta council either via phone or in-person, reported people in the family register who are not home and also extorted civilians for no reason, which led to him becoming a target, explained the official from Wayhin Team.
“We are also observing those who worked for the junta council alongside Tin Myint. Those colluding with the junta council to trouble the people will have to deal with consequences later,” said the official.
