NORTHERN SHAN STATE – The TNLA announced this afternoon that four residents were killed and eleven were injured in three days from September 28 to 30, due to the airstrikes by the Terrorist War Council targeting the people in Hsipaw City, Brigade (2) area, Ta-Ang region.
On September 28th, due to the terrorist war council’s aerial bombardment, (3) people in the Zatsu ward, (1) people in the area (3) of the Zatsu ward and (2) others near the football field in the market area, total of (6) people were seriously injured. Apart from the casualties, some houses and more than 10 shops were damaged.
Bombs were dropped and exploded in the Hsipaw hospital, Kaung Kyeik food shop, Gold Tea Shop, nearby places of U Ko Oo’s house and school, Hsipaw bridge, and nearby places to the play shut because the junta council’s Y12 plane dropped bombs into the Hsipaw in 3 p.m. on September 30th.
According to the bombardment, a male in the religious building was died. And a male in the sand field in the old town, a male social welfare member, a male and a female near the hospital and a female near the betal shop, total 5 were injured.
It was learned that a total of 3 of the family members, including 1 male and 1 female, and a 7-year-old child, were killed on the spot due to the terrorist war council’s bomb attack in Khalein village in Hsipaw.
In addition, on the night of September 30th, the Terrorist War Council used jet planes and Y-12 planes to come and bomb and make air strikes, causing damage to the homes of residents.
According to the statement, the war council, losing in all fronts, used heavy weapons and air force that targeted the civilians. The attacks killed 26, injured 41, and destroyed 47 houses during September.
