CHIN STATE – The terrorist junta council forces set fire to houses along the Mindat-Matupi Road, Bayintnaung fork in the western ward of Mindat and also shot at the people who went to put out the fire, according to local news sources.
The terrorist junta soldiers from Mindat infantry battalion 274 reportedly brought out gasoline from their battalion and set fire to each individual house along said road.
In addition, the fire was not put out as the junta forces would chase and shoot at the people who tried to put it out.
Hkl-Mindat, a local source reported that the fire is still ablaze and around 40 houses have burned down as of October 1 evening.
The terrorist junta council carried out six arsons in September according to local reports and CDF-Mindat also stated that 36 houses were burned down by junta forces between August 22 and September 27.
In addition, the terrorist junta council also carried out airstrikes in Mindat. There were a total of 44 junta airstrikes in Mindat Township during August and September that injured one civilian and damaged two schools, four dormitories and nine houses, according to September 29 announcement by CDF-Mindat.
