MANDALAY DIVISION – The Deputy Commander Phoe Khwar of “Fighting Peacock” People’s Defence Force said that the terrorist soldiers conducting census at Yamethin Township were attacked twice using land mines, and resulted many casualties.
The revolutionary forces attacked the junta troops stationing at Paypinshey Village and others troops from Pyawbwe, Yan Aung, Taung Nyaungkone conducting census at nearby villages on October 10.
The mentioned junta troops were being attacked with land mines when they reached near Kyaukoelay village at about 6:30 a.m. on October 10. Seven junta thugs were killed by the attack. The junta soldiers were attacked again near Leikyinkhaung Village and 8 others were killed.
“The junta thugs station inside Paypinshey Village and conducting census. 7 of them were killed in the first mine attack at 6:30 in the morning. At around 8, the same junta group was attacked by 5 mines and 8 died on the spot. The mine attack was carried out on the main road near Kyaukoelay and Leikyinkhaung villages,” said Phoe Khwar, Deputy in charge of Fighting Peacock People’s Defence Force.
It was reported that the Fighting Peacock PDF, Yamethin District PDF, Yamethin Township PDF, Pyawbwe PDF, the 4 alliances groups collaborated the attack.
