MANDALAY DIVISION – Local residents reported that 12 civilians including three monks and a child were killed after the junta council bombed an IDP camp at the monastery in Wawsu Village in Madaya Township.
It is said that the junta council bombed the IDP camp around 1 p.m. on October 11, killing a total of 12 civilians including three monks and a 12 year old child and injuring around 30.
“There was no battle. 12 civilians were killed. The people evacuating from the Wawsu Village IDP camp are also being targeted with artillery shells. Around 30 civilians were also injured,” said a local resident.
Currently, junta columns are conducting offensives in Madaya Township and are also engaging in clashes against PDF forces.
