KAREN STATE – Karen National Union (KNU) and allied forces reportedly blocked and combated the junta’s Ah Nan Kwin strategic outpost on Hpayarthonesu – Thanbyuzayat Road in Kyainseikgyi Township, and the fierce fighting continues.
The attack on Ah Nan Kwin strategic outpost started in August, and the fighting continued until the second week of October.
In order not to concede the outpost, the junta army was defending with airstrikes and airdropped rations and ammunition for the troops that were blocked in the outpost.
The KNU and allied forces had started their attacks on Ah Nan Kwin strategic outpost and Lut Shan base Hpayarthonesu – Thanbyuzayat Road, starting in August, and were able to capture Lut Shan base in the second week of September.
The KNU continues to attack in order to seize the remaining Ah Nan Kwin strategic outpost.
Due to fighting and airstrikes, local residents of nearby villages, including Ah Nan Kwin Village, have left their homes.
