RAKINE STATE – It was reported that 5 people were killed and 14 were injured when the Terrorist War Council dropped a 500-pound bomb on the village of Pharwat Chaung in Maungdaw township, Rakine State early this morning.
At 1:50 a.m. on October 21st, the Terrorist War Council launched a bomb attack with a fighter jet, killing 5 innocent people and seriously injuring at least 14 others. 58-year-old Daw Hla Hla Aye, 26-year-old Ma Thida, 29-year-old Ko Ne Zaw Oo, 20-year-old Ko Maung Maung Thein and 26-year-old Ma Aye Aye Aung from Pharwat Chaung village, Maungdaw township were killed due to the bombing by the terrorist army plane. 3 people died on the spot due to the 500 pound bomb being dropped, the other 2 died while receiving medical treatment.
In addition, due to the explosion of the bomb, 3 houses in the village of Pharwat Chaung, 1 car and 1 tricycle were damaged.
A news source from the Rakhine region who is in Yangon said that the junta council in Rakhine has cut off phone lines and internet lines, so they do not know the details of the situation and are only monitoring the coverage of local news sources that can use satellite internet, including APM. People fleeing from the war in Rakhine are worried about the military council’s air strikes every day, as well as their daily living such as jobs and food. He said that the demand for medicine and health care is very crucial.
“Internet is available only in places covered by Starlink. The rest of the places cannot be used. Starlink also requires permission from the Arakan Army. I have been out of touch with my family for a long time,” explained a source in the Rakhine region in Yangon.
An ethnic Rakhine who was able to leave Sittwe recently said that the Terrorist Junta Council is accepting bribes for those trying to leave Rakhine to other urban areas including Yangon and it was learned that they have to travel for 7 days.
