KARENNI STATE- The Karenni Army (KA) Chief of Staff stated that drones were mainly used during the seizure of the Military Council’s Htoo Chaung camp between Hpasawng and Bawlakhe Towns.
On October 12, the joint revolutionary forces attacked and captured the Htoo Chaung military camp, which is an important camp.
“We beat them using drones. The force is different from that of the North, and thus we mainly use drones. There are no prisoners of war. We found bodies and the corpses smelled rotten, so we had to do the clearance mission quickly,” said Colonel Phone Naing.
Drone Forces of KNDF Battalion 9, KNDF Tactics 3, and KA battalions in a balanced and cooperative manner with other ground battalions reportedly attacked and occupied the camp.
“There will be a military strategy office in Bawlakhe but won’t be any more small camps. The soldiers who run from Htoo Chaung would gather at Bawlakhe Town. The important military camp between Hpasawng and Bawlakhe is the Htoo Chaung Camp and it’s gone now. There isn’t much left to be occupied in the Hpasawng area.”
As the military strategy in Bawlakhae town, there were IB-429, IB-430, and Light IB-337, and only the 134th and 135th Infantry battalions were left in the Hpasawng area.
It is reported that there have been 7 months of ongoing fighting, with frequent contact battles, between the Military Council and the Defense Forces in Hpasawng.
