SHAN STATE (NORTH) – The terrorist junta army continuously bombarded using fighter jets on Nawnghkio Town, which is under the control of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), the locals and revolutionary news source reported.
While people in all over Myanmar went to the padogas, temples, and offered lights to Buddha on the full moon night of October 17, the terrorist war council continuously bombarded on Nawnghkio Town. Local residents said that they had to spend the full moon night of Thadingyut in bomb shelters hiding for safety.
“The Y12 planes and scout planes hovered all the time in the afternoon, and at night, junta army started bombing. The full moon night of Thadingyut was spent in the bomb shelter. The planes hovered and bombarded from about 9:50 p.m. till 12 midnight,” a resident of Nawnghkio Town said.
The terrorist war council shelled the inspection gate at the entrance of the town at about 9:48 p.m. on October 17. After that, bombarded again at 10.08 p.m. on administration office of Nawnghkio Town. For the third time, at 10:09 p.m. and again at 11:32 p.m. on Nawnghkio Town.
“There could be a lot of damage and casualties as the junta army bombarded while people were walking around and crowded on Thadingyut light festival,” the resident added.
The military council’s planes that bombed Nawnghkio Town were planes from the terrorist council’s Tada U airbase and the Shan Te air base, the NAS, air scout reported.
