ARAKAN STATE: AA has announced that ARSA, RSO and ARA which are cooperating with the atrocious junta’s council to perform military operations are the new threat to the safety of the civilians and tranquillity of the border area of Bangladesh – Arakan.
AA has said that the armed forces of ARSA, RSO and ARA had been committing the actions such as abducting the civilians, killing them, kidnapping and retorting money. Similarly in some places, ARSA, RSO and ARA were known to be performing military operations, cooperating with the atrocious junta’s council and attacking AA. The violent threats of those armed forces are worrying conditions for the civilians who live not only in Aratkha region, but also in the Bangladesh – Aratkha border region, which is the new challenge for regional peace, stability and security of the local civilians.
AA was known to be attacking the armed forces backed up and trained by the atrocious junta council and clearing the places where the members of ARSA, RSO and ARA near Maungdaw and Buthitaung in Arakan state. At 12:10 p.m. on October 19, there have been 5 skirmishes broken out between AA and ARSA on the mountain range of north-western by Kharu stream in Buthitaung township. After the battles, AA reportedly captured the four strong bases of ARSA armed force and confiscated the weapons and ammunition provided by the atrocious junta’s council along with the dead bodies of the armed forces, AA said.
Similarly, around 12:10 p.m. on October 22, there was a contact battle broke out for a few minutes with the members of ARSA armed force, who were running away at the east of Gyintaw military base in Maungdaw township. Simultaneously, the members of AA were following to attack the armed men trained and armed by the atrocious junta’s council and those who were running away.
Currently, there are battles breaking out between AA and the junta’s forces every day near Maungdaw, Ann, Kyeintalee in Arakan state. There are also battles breaking out near Taungup sometimes. The members of junta’s council from the military camps in Sittwe are also firing the heavy artillery to Pauktaw, Ponnakyun and Yathaedaung. Moreover the members of the junta’s council from Kyeintalee and Kantharyar are known to be firing the heavy artillery to not only the battle grounds but also the places, towns and villages which are not the battlefields.
Moreover, AA announced that the junta’s military ships anchoring in the sea are firing the heavy artillery, and the junta’s council is launching the airstrike every day targeting to the local civilians, which is causing the casualties of the innocent civilians with death and severe injuries.
In Maungdaw, though there is only junta’s border guard force No.(5) left, the armed forces such as ARSA, RSO and ARA are known to be building the strong military bases in the places where the members of AA cannot reach and control and where there is deep forest and mountains in Maungdaw and Butheetaung.
