SHAN STATE (NORTH) – Lashio based news sources reported that junta council’s war plane dropped bombs on the police station in Lashio City on the evening of October 23.
The military planes bombarded No. 1 police station at about 3:01 p.m. on October 23. A local news source said that there may have been casualties due to the terrorist army’s airstrike, but the details are not yet known.
“I don’t know the exact details yet. I’ll let you know when I know,” said the Lashio-based news source.
The terrorist council’s military planes reportedly bombed Lashio City three times on October 23, including the bombing of the police station. The traditional rice wine factory was bombed at about 8:35 a.m., the second time targeted Ward 12 and bombs were dropped on the police station and the prison in the third round.
“Civilians were injured. In front of No. 1 police station where the bomb was dropped are snack shops and was crowded with people” said a Lashio-based social assistance group.
Since August 30 of 2024, the terrorist council conducted more than 20 airstrikes on Lashio City. Due to those bombardments of junta army, there has been more than 100 civilians casualities in three months time in the northern part of Shan State where the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) has seized.
