BAGO DIVISION – According to Comrade Dhuya, the news and information officer of Battalion 3802 of Tharyarwaddy District, the terrorist junta army burned and destroyed the village of Kantni which is located on the border of Gyobingauk Township and Okpho Township and also reportedly planted landmines near Gamone Dam.
In the early morning of October 23, about 30 terrorist junta soldiers who retreated from Kantni Village reportedly planted a lot of landmines around the Gamone Dam clearing area.
At around 3:06 p.m., the military column reportedly re-entered Kantni Village with a force of about 60 soldiers and burned down the houses in the village.
“Early morning on October 23, about 30 military dogs (junta forces) retreated to Kantni Village between Gyobingauk and Okpho Townships and laid a large number of landmines around the Gamone Dam clearing area. Then they reinforced and re-entered Kantni Village with around 60 forces then started burning and destroying houses in Bobintike Area of the village at 3:06 p.m. They are still torching the houses,” said Comrade Dhuya.
