SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta army carried out aerial bombings on Za Yat Kone Village in Myaung Township, without a fight, killing six civilians, including a student in grade 11, and destroying four civilians’ houses, according to an official of the Civilian Defence and Security Organization of Myanmar (CDSOM) and locals.
On October 23, at 5:20 p.m., the two terrorist junta’s fighter jets bombarded Za Yat Kone Village in Myaung Township without any fight, and an elderly woman in her 80s, and a 15-year-old girl in her grade 11 were killed in the spot. It was reported that four people who suffered serious injuries also died.
“At around 5:00 p.m., the junta’s fighter jet dropped two bombs on the hill near Ngar Hmyaung Taung on the northern part of the village, with no casualties or damage. Another fighter jet dropped bombs on the southern part of the village, causing casualties and damage. The bombs landed on the village, and the type of bombs was unidentified. The bombs exploded in the air. A total of six people were killed. Two people died on the spot, identified as a 15-year-old girl in grade 11 and an elderly woman in her 80s. Those two were buried tonight. The rest of the decades were their 20s and 30s,” said the official of CDSOM.
In addition to the damages to four residential houses and lampposts, two cows, eight sheep, and a pig were killed on the spot during the junta’s airstrikes. It was reported that six people who were injured and were being treated at the hospital were out of danger.
“Firstly, the junta’s fighter jet bombarded two bombs near Payagyi near Ngar Hmyaung Taung Village. The incident place was far away from the village, and no one was harmed. The bombs of another fighter jet directly landed on the houses of Ms. Than Nu and Ms. Htoo, on the eastern part of Za Yat Kone Village. I have no idea about the type of bombs. It exploded in the air and destroyed two houses. Also, an elderly woman in her 80s and a 15-year-old girl were killed on the spot,” said a local.
