MYANMAR – Nay Pyi Taw PDF announced that 165 lakhs from the auction sale of the paintings of the revolutionary artist Kyar Pauk (Aka) Han Htue Lwin, was used to assist the flood victims residing along the east bank of the Sittaung River.
The proceeds from the auction of the painting were transferred to Nay Pyi Taw People’s Defense Force through Ms. Pencilo and the PDF members went to support the flood-affected people at the eastern bank of the Sittaung River.
Each of the 200 houses affected by the disaster was provided 50 thousand in cash. For those who lost their homes, swept away by the flood, were provided four lakhs (per house). PDF officials personally visited the houses and provided assistance.
