KACHIN STATE – The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) was known to have captured a camp of the Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA) in Saezin, Hpakant Township, Kachin State on the morning of October 25, as said by a Kachin information source.
The Kachin information source said, “Pansay near Saezin, Hpakant Tarmakhan by SNA was captured at around 5 a.m.”
SNA is a force allying with the junta council, and had confrontations with KIA last year.
The information regarding the capture of the SNA camp in Saezin, confiscated weapons and ammunition and captured prisoners of war is still under investigation.
KIA has formerly attacked and captured some camps of junta and SNA in Saezin region.
KIA has captured many camps of the junta council in Hpakant Township and now has control of half areas of the town, as mentioned by the military information sources.
