MAGWAY DIVISION – Yaw National Revolution Force – Htilin (YNRF) announced that a Pyu Saw Htee member from Shwehti Hall, Htilin Town brought 3 handguns and the defected to them, and thus 10 million kyats was awarded to the defector.
On October 20, a Pyu Saw Htee member from Shwehti Hall, run away from their camp with two G-3 guns, an M-79 gun, 2 magazines of G-3, 38 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, five M-79 ammunition, and one icon-5 R (communication device) and reported to have defected to YNRF.
On October 24, the defector was awarded 10 million Kyats (for defecting with weapons and ammunition) by the No. (1) Military Region, No. (18) Battalion of Gangaw District.
It is reported that providing employment and necessary assistance for the defector’s living is still under process.
