RAKHINE- Military sources in the region said that fighting was raging in Taikyo village, about 15 miles away from Gwa city, and the entire village was fleeing.
Since the morning of October 25, there has been a fierce battle between the Arakan Army -AA and the fascist junta army in Taikyo village between Kalarpyi (Yadana Myaing) village and the Kantharyar beach, and the whole village has been fleeing.
” There is currently a battle near a village called Taikyo. It started this morning. All the villagers were forced to flee. I don’t know the details yet but received the news about them from 7 miles away. The fighting is so fierce that all the locals are called to leave the village. The noises (of explosions) are very loud,” said a local military source.
It is reported that 2 warships of the terrorist junta council in the Taikyo Water are continuously firing heavy weapons at the place where the battle took place and about 300 terrorist soldiers from the Gwa city have come as reinforcements.
“I heard that there are more than 300 military council soldiers in Taikyo. The sounds of heavy weapons fired by both sides were noisy, and the navy was also present in Taikyo’s stronghold. The Junta artillery batallion in Zikone, near Kantharyar (coast) is also firing with heavy weapons,” the local military source added.
The Arakan Army-AA continues to attack military council troops in Gwa City after occupying Thandwe City. This battle was closest to Gwa City. Junta troops from Kyintali Batallion and camps of Kalarpyin village have been slowly retreating to Gwa city center and now AA has been launching attacks on Kwaychai, Taikyo, Zeekone, and Kantharyar areas.
The Terrorist War Council has been reinforcing weapons, soldiers, and naval forces through the Irrawaddy Division. There were ongoing fierce fights in Ann and Maungdaw areas and the AA is attacking the Western Regional Military Headquarters (Na Pa Kha) in Ann, and the military council forces have lost the airport; which can no longer be used.
