SHAN STATE – People’s Defence Force Mandalay (PDF-MDY) announced that four prisoners of war including Major Nay Win were killed after the junta council bombed Hokho Village in Nawnghkio Township, northern Shan State.
Around 1:00 a.m. on October 30, the terrorist junta council bombed the cells where the POWs were detained and the aerial attack killed four POWs including a major and injured one.
The POWs killed in the junta airstrike included those detained from the Belu Column and are reported to be Major Nay Win from junta Basic Military Training Regiment 2, 7 mile; Corporal Ko Ko Aung from Basic Military Training Regiment 2, Thabeikkyin; Sergeant Clerk Aung Lwin from junta Artillery Battalion 319 in Meikhtila; and Pyu Saw Htee Johnny Aung.
The terrorist junta council also carried out airstrikes on October 29, targeting its troops detained as POWs, killing a total of 12 people including eight POWs. As such, the junta council has killed a total of 16 people in these two days.
