THAILAND – A Thailand broker reportedly took away the bank books of four Myanmar workers working in Nakhon Nayok who came to Thailand under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) after helping them open bank accounts with their passports. The Ministry of Labour of the National Unity Government of Myanmar announced on October 30 that they helped resolve this issue, informing that they helped file cases at the bank in Nakhon Nayok and the bank accounts had been closed.
It was reported that NUG helped resolve the case as the four workers working in Thailand by MOU, an agreement between Thailand and Myanmar, had sought help from NUG after their bank books were taken by the broker.
