MYANMAR – The People’s Defense Army Battalion No. 1222, under the NUG Ministry of Defense, announced on October 31 that complaint reports can be filed against any rude or abusive act by their members against locals or allied forces.
As the battalion is getting more recruits and strengthening, they are concerned that the chain of command / Code of Conduct COC will be affected or discipline may weaken.
As a measure, Battalion No. 1222 announced that if any of the additional forces or soldiers of the battalion abuse the public physically or verbally, complaints could be made to the battalion commander or through the official Facebook page.
In addition to the general public, complaints can also be filed if their members acted rudely or improperly to the allied revolutionary forces. Rules and ethics that the regiment should apply to the public are always reminded and Batallion 1221 is an army that always observes and follows the rules established, as mentioned in the statement.
As a battalion, if any member violates the code of conduct or commits crimes, effective disciplinary measures and punishments will be taken.
People’s Defense Army No. 1222 battalion is called 1-2-Tri in short and is part of Mogok Tactical Regiment together with Batallion 1221 and 1223. The batallion had joined the Shan-Man operation and had battle experience with EROs / PDF / revolutionary allies in the Mogok city capturing battle.
