RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) has completely captured the junta council’s light infantry 373, Gantgaw Tahtaung Pagoda Camp, Pulaung Taung Pagoda Hill Camp, Military Investigation Camp, No. 2 300-bed Military Hospital, No. 8 Recruitment Training Academy, all outposts surrounding the Western Command and all junta outposts on the Ann-Minbu Road, according to an information source from AA.
It is said that AA is currently continuing its offensive to capture the junta Western Command after capturing the above outposts, attacking the remaining outposts surrounding the Western Command.
In addition, AA is also attacking the Border Guard Battalion 5, the last remaining junta base in Maungtaw and the junta outposts in Gwa Township, having launched offensives in Tongup Township on October 31 as well.
“The attacks to capture junta outposts in Tongup started on October 31. We have captured multiple outposts in Ann and are continuing offensives to capture the remaining outposts. The main sites of confrontations are in Ann, Gwa, Tongup and Maungtaw. In Gwa, there is serious fighting to the east of Taikyoe Village in Gwa Township. There are many enemy (junta) airstrikes in all areas. There are enemy reinforcements in Gwa and more reinforcements are being delivered,” said the information source from AA.
Currently, AA has captured eleven townships and numerous junta outposts in Rakhine State.
