MYANMAR – The military council troops fired heavy weapons and small arms in Saw Township, Magway Division on the morning of November 4 and two civilians were reportedly killed and one was injured.
At 8:30 a.m. on November 4, junta troops stationed in U Po Hlaing Hall, near the Saw Communication and Telegraph Office, entered the town and opened fire.
“The deceased were a man and a woman. Junta troops arbitrarily opened fire (without apparent reason),” the local said.
Locals have informed that the military council forces also abducted a Chin Youth from the town.
A resident of Mindat Town also reported that the military council troops burned down the staff housing and civilian homes in Mindat at the Magway-Chin State border on the evening of November 3.
The junta troops reportedly burned down the staff houses around the Agriculture and Irrigation Office and also destroyed the walls of the houses near West Border Ethnic-youths Public School No 1.
During the last few months, the Military Council Army has been burning and destroying civilian homes in Mindat Town, and about 30 homes were destroyed by junta arson in October, the Mindat Regional Defense Force (CDF-Mindat) has informed.
