KACHIN STATE – A military source of the KIA said that when the KIA coalition forces entered the village of Kanfen in Phimaw, Kachin State, more than 100 armed members of the militia surrendered and the people welcomed the KIA troops with thousands of cheers.
On the evening of November 4th, more than 100 armed members of the militia surrendered when the KIA coalition forces entered Kanfen village on the China-Kachin border, northeast of Phimaw, Kachin Special Region-1. At present, the KIA has completely captured and controlled the village of Kanfan.
The local people also welcomed the KIA joint forces that entered Kanphan village with thousands of cheers, and it is learned that more than 100 members of the militia that surrendered are currently under inspection.
“The KIA joint forces have entered and taken control of Kanfan village in the northeast of Phimaw City, Kachin Special Region-1, China-Kachin border this evening. The public didn’t want to defend, and they surrendered. The total number of militias that surrendered was over 100. The people of the area welcomed the KIA troops. The militia surrendered without fighting in the village of Kanfan, so now only Lanse is left. After Lanse is captured, there will be nothing left,” a KIA military source said.
