SHAN STATE – Local news sources reported that the junta council bombed Maehan Village in Lashio, northern Shan State twice on the morning of November 5 but there were luckily no civilian casualty.
The junta air force bombed the village at 00:43 a.m. and 00:49 a.m. on November 5 and the bombs landed on the administration office and empty houses and so no one was harmed.
“A bomb dropped on Maehan administration office. One dropped in front of the office and also on an empty house. The residents of the house had fled the house after a bomb landed on it last week. Now the MNDAA forces are cleaning up,” explained a resident.
The junta council paused bombing Lashio for seven days after bombing Ward 11, Aungsaytanar Road and Tarthana 2500 Pagoda Hill on October 29 but began the aerial attacks again on November 5.
Since August 30, the junta council had carried out over 20 airstrikes in Lashio and the junta airstrikes in the MNDAA controlled territory in northern Shan State caused over 100 civilian casualties in just over three months.
