MANDALAY DIVISION – PDF Battalion 1222 is reported to have awarded Battalion Commander Do Lay the “Outstanding Strategic Award” for successfully persuading around 100 Pyu Saw Htee militants to surrender during the battles in Singu Township.
Battalion Commander Do Lay had brought around 100 Pyu Saw Htee militants including Pyu Saw Htee leader Yay Taw Nga Naing and other Pyu Saw Htee leaders and militants from Htonegyi Village as well as Selthe, Doepinkone, Zeepinkone and Yaytaw in Singu Township and persuaded them to surrender without opening fire once.
