MANDALAY DIVISION – Locals reported that a junta column raided Ku Village in Myingyan Township and broke into and stole from the houses.
Junta planes from Shante Air Base attacked the village around 7:45 p.m. on November 11 unprovoked then a junta column advanced into the area on November 12 and the advancing column was attacked by local defence forces, resulting in a battle and the residents of Ku Village and nearby villages fled.
After the battle, the terrorist junta forces invaded and stationed inside Ku Village and broke into and looted the houses. It is said that they loaded the stolen goods on Faw trucks which left the village around 9 p.m. on November 12.
“In Ku Village, the junta forces looted and stole as they pleased. Then they took away the stolen goods in Faw trucks. Because there were no residents, they were stealing freely. The battle took place near Ku Village on November 12. A junta plane from Meikhtila carried out an air strike around 7:45 p.m. on November 11. Around 40-50 rounds were fired. There was also an airstrike in Kunsaik Village. Buildings were destroyed. Now, junta forces are stationed inside Ku Village. The houses are looted empty,” said a resident.
In addition, junta forces reportedly abducted young men for conscription and older men for Pyithusit militia in Myingyan and the junta regime has made civilians guard the town after rumours came out that revolutionary forces may attack Myingyan.
