BAGO DIVISION – Than Aung, the administration officer for Dwa Village in Kinmonchone Village Tract, Paukkhaung Township was shot and died on the spot, reported the information officer from Pyay District People’s Defence Force (PPDF) Battalion 3601.
The administration officer was attacked by the members of Paukkhaung Township PDO, led by PPDF Company 3 at his home around 1:30 p.m. on November 13 and it is said that he died on the spot after getting shot in the head and abdomen.
It is said that Than Aung was attacked because he had enthusiastically abducted young people to be conscripted for the junta council, collected from 30,000 to 50,000 Kyats per household in the village tract to support the junta regime, and collected information of revolutionary forces and reported them to the junta council.
PPDF informed that as the resistance gains acceleration, defence forces will be attacking the junta pillars such as general administration clerks and administration officers when they get the chance and requested the people to stay away from terrorist junta soldiers, police and pillars of the junta army.
