SAGAING DIVISION- An official of the Dog Killers People’s Defense Force Myinmu stated that two officers of the Lieutenant rank were killed on the spot when they attacked the staff housing compound in Myinmu.
On November 13, at around 4:30 a.m., the revolutionary forces attacked the staff housing, on the east side of Myinmu and on the Irrawaddy Riverbank, where about 20 terrorist soldiers were stationed. When the resistance forces attacked with small arms and heavy weapons, two Lieutenant-rank military personnel were reportedly killed on the spot and many were injured.
“When we arrived at the staff housing compound, it was around 4:30 a.m. and the shooting started around 5. The enemies were at the top of the staff housing building; a 4-story building. We fought from the ground and they shot from above. Junta troops stationed at No. (1) Basic Education High School Myinmu reinforced by firing heavy weapons. The two places are not far. Two Lieutenants died during the shoot-out and we could also hear their cries. It was not convenient to enter their housing and we had to retreat since there was not enough ammunition,” an official of Dog Killers People’s Defence Force Myinmu told the media.
During this battle, the terrorist soldiers stationed at BEHS (1) Myinmu opened heavy weapons, and the reinforcements arrived in armored cars, so the revolutionary forces had to retreat.
“To be able to fight like this, we had to buy ammunition with the donations we received. We fought the junta troops once and then waited and saved up ammunition before we could attack them again. These junta troops challenge us to fight. They called our PDFs being chickened out and could not do much. We are not standing idly by as they drag youths from the neighborhood and beat them up. We want to attack them but there aren’t enough weapons or bullets. If only we had enough bullets, we could finish many missions quickly. So, we would request the public to help us with the cost of bullets,” said an official from the Dog Killers People’s Defense Force Myinmu.
The current attack was carried out by allied forces or Dog Killers People’s Defense Force Myinmu (DK-PDF MMU)such as Moe Nyo Revolution Force (M.N.R.F.), Zeyar Shwemyay Force and the Western People Defense Force. PDFs were able to retreat without being harmed.
