MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces conducting raids in Pakokku Township have been torching the villages along the Ayeyarwaddy River, according to residents.
Starting around 2:00 p.m. on November 15, the junta forces continued their raid on the villages beside the Ayeyarwaddy River in Pakokku Township and continuously set fire to the villages.
The smoke from the villages burned by junta forces could be seen even from Bagan and residents said that at least three villages were set on fire.
“The junta forces have been continuously raiding and torching the villages along the Ayeyarwaddy River bank since around 2 p.m. The smoke can be seen from Bagan. Around three villages are on fire but we don’t know which villages,” said a resident.
The same junta forces killed three women and burned their bodies when raiding Nhawkone Village on November 14 during which they burned down 187 houses, according to Pakokku PDO
