SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that the terrorist junta soldiers of Light Infantry Battalion 213, including the commanding officer, major, captain and privates, were killed, four were captured and their weapons were seized, during the fight in Nawnghkio Town.
There were fierce fights between TNLA and the terrorist junta forces at artillery battalions 354 and 902 in Tawng Hkam of Nawnghkio Township on November 16.
During the fights, the terrorist junta soldiers of Light Infantry Battalion 213 under the 11th Light Infantry Division, including the commanding officer, major, captain and privates, were killed and weapons and ammunition and military equipment were confiscated. In addition, four juntas were also captured alive, along with weapons and ammunition.
It was reported that the clashes broke out as the terrorist junta army that was attempting to send its reinforcements to Nawnghkio Township from Lawksawk _ Kyaukgu in southern Shan launched offensives.
In order to control the artillery base in Tawng Hkam of Nawnghkio Township, the terrorist junta army was sending its reinforcements through Lawksawk _ Kyaukgu in southern Shan and supplying military weapons and ammunition through the air routes.
