MANDALAY DIVISION- An official from the Voice of Mandalay told the media that the fighting is fierce in Madaya Township, and the terrorist army has aerial bombed at least 10 times. Two warships from the water also reportedly fired heavy weapons.
On November 17th, starting at about 3 a.m., it is reported that fights took place along the riverbank areas( such as South Chonpauk, Nge Toe, and Thaphan Daunt villages) between the resistance forces, including NUG MOD battalions and junta troops.
During these battles, the revolutionary forces were gaining the advantage and the terrorist army attacked continuously with infantry columns and air forces as well as firing heavy weapons from two warships docking at the Minkon port.
It is reported that the terrorist army bombarded nine aerial bombs on the Madaya township, at around 9:15 and 11:10 a.m. using jetfighters, including two Mi-17 helicopters.
The fighting started in Madaya Township on November 9 and became more intense due to the offensives of both the People’s Defense Army and the terrorist junta army. There have been 27 clashes in Madaya town this month, according to an official from the Voice of Mandalay group.
